My opinion has been humbled by this FSX setting

Featured Replies

Could you be a bit more specific? I've followed the link, but there's no mention of FSX. Just "you want to download Tweaker's CFG"Not to be sceptical, but why?

Rapidshare is a way for people to share files. You upload it to their servers, and then other people can download it. To me it seems like an attachment would have been a better way to do it. Frankly, my advice for people interested in getting FSX (or FS9, FS2k2, etc.) configured well for their system is simple:Start with the lowest settings.Set a framelock slightly higher then what you really want.Start raising the stuff you want the most first, while flying a plane you really like in an area you want to be able to fly at.Try to keep it at the framelock.Start raising other stuff bit by bit.If something drops the FPS a lot, back off and try something else. Then when you run out of stuff to tweak, drop your framelock to what you really want and hopefully you'll have a smooth running FlightSim.Considering the variety of hardware available, something that doesn't have much of an FPS hit for one person may be a show stopper for another person."Let me help you out. You're cleared to taxi any way you can to any runway you see."

One of the best pieces of advice Ive seen on getting what you want. It should save many, a lot of time chasing framerates... There are so many variations of setups, and hardware, claims of certain framerates mean very little, unless you have exactly the same system.
