March 9, 20206 yr Hi... If there is a Topic like this i have to apologise for not finding it... i admit I'm a bit overwhelmed with the forum an pilot2atc in general. I'm still in 10 Days Trial an i like it so far... however My Com-Frequencies in P2ATC do not match the frequencies in my Sim (X-Plane 11) and probably worse my course is not correct. Example... I was flying from EDNY to EDDF Pilot2ATC kept telling me that i was off course... when i was following the Course in my Garmin. (the Flight plan was created in P2ATC an exportet to the Sim) When i followed the Instructions from Pilot2ATC i was way to far West in the GPS and when I followed the gps Pilot2ATC thought i was to far east... endet up flying by hdg somewhere in between. Is there a way to somehow synchronise them? P2A is 2.6.1.1_x64_R3 Xplane is 11.41r1 XPUIPC is 2.5.0.9
March 9, 20206 yr Commercial Member Welcome to Pilot2ATC. It's possible that you have different AIRAC cycles in X-Plane/Garmin and Pilot2ATC, causing portions of the flight plan to not match. Check the waypoints closely in your Garmin vs what's in P2A. If, for example, you are flying to the first waypoint in a STAR or Approach, and that waypoint is different in P2A vs Garmin, then you will be off course for most of the flight. On the frequencies, not totally sure what you mean that they don't match. If you mean that there are frequencies for an airport listed in X-Plane that are different from those listed in P2A, then the AIRAC cycle difference could account for that. If you could be more specific, I could look into it. Also, check the AIRAC cycles and let me know what you find. Dave

Kay at a second look there are simply more in P2A... it has 5... xplane only 3... that kind of solves that
March 9, 20206 yr Commercial Member If you're using the default data in X-Plane, it was 17xx last time I checked, so they are different. Another difference can be how the Garmin portrays the route. Usually it's not part of the route until you activate the approach. In P2A, you can have the route not reflect the approach until it's assigned, which when flying GA makes sense. On the FLtPlan tab of config, uncheck the Auto Load Recommended Procedures option and you'll get a straight course to the destination until you're assigned an approach. Be sure to also uncheck the ATC Assigns SIDs and ATC Assigns STARs options so you don't get a SID or STAR. This is most common for GA IFR flights.

(i mean yes its the default... so i guess youre right with 17somewhat I'm not really motivated to add a new sub "just for navdata"
March 9, 20206 yr Commercial Member You can purchase a subscription or a single month's worth of AIRAC data from Navigraph or NavDataPro. They have essentially the same data, but do support a slightly different set of addons and they have different features, like Navigraph has a chart subscription which is nice. Both support X-Plane and Pilot2ATC. You could also just try some different flight plans and see if they act differently. One last thought, if the plane is flying parallel to the P2A track on the map and you're getting off course calls, then you might just need to increase the max off Course variance in Config.
