March 15, 20206 yr I just discovered, to me, quite an amazing 'reality and realism' coming from P3D 4.4, with the water setting to full Ultra... ....here I was coming out of the Detroit River, and into Lake Erie, with waves about 1.5 meters. Ok...I was at a nice 15 knots fast cruise, when as I headed out into the lake proper, all of a sudden, my yacht's bow, started to leave the water, and you could feel/hear, the hard wave impact with Accu-Feel. It was amazing...that I had to drop to 9 knots, to no longer slam the bow into the waves that were about now, 2.5 meters! So...the oceans and lakes are dynamically 'alive' in wave height and realism, if driven by weather programs...wow! This was so cool, I thought to share...and now back to heading down the north coast of Lake Erie, with my guests aboard for the first of the coming boating season. We have the cabin heat on...and dinner will be served at 5:pm...my chef is is a Cordon Bleu! P3D 4.4 oceans, lakes, and grand rivers, is not only for merely flying over...for yes, Virginia...even the water has real world wave dynamics, with the Ultra setting! March 15, 20206 yr Author Approaching the Welland Canal, to enter Lake Ontario, on our way to our destination, in the Thousand Islands, near New York, where we will berth and party/dinner for tonight! The Thousand Islands is at the East end of Lake Ontario, and is in the mouth of the St. Lawrence River... BTW, I'm doing this in real time...and what a hoot to imagine that I could own one of these beauties! Our departure point was the riverfront of Detroit. Edited March 15, 20206 yr by Sesquashtoo
