April 15, 20206 yr So many sims to keep up to date, test and checkout. I'm seeing a clear picture of where my simming is going. First props to AFSF2 for way before the big guys being able to deliver beautiful VR, in crazy high frames with amazing lighting. Its still my go to sim to show other pilots what VR simming is all about. Just ashame there arent more Orbx airports in this sim. I've moved to Xplane11 for my main sim and while i'm testing 11.50b3 out, I'm still enjoying 11.41 for now. I dont see XP11 being replaced easily for its ease of use and feature rich setup for addons like PilotEdge, FSEconomy, Garmin Pilot App among others. To me, Xplane11 makes my sim the closest of all of them to a real plane. MSFS isnt out yet so I can only comment on the videos they show. The potential is there for this sim out of all the sims. It will become the one sim that is most widely used as Microsoft retakes their title back. Writing on the wall is there. From the looks of it, visually is like ASFS2 on steroids, in the airfile area it is going to give XP11 a run for its money and out of the box it already is leaving all the sims in the dust. Just installed P3Dv5 and gave it a quick look. Nice to know its out there but really dont see me doing anything with it knowing what XPlane is already doing for me and whats coming with MSFS. P3Dv3, thats a keeper. Still enjoy flying the PMDG JS41 w/FS2Crew and using FSPassengers for my FSEconomy business so that will stay. So play pilot P3Dv3, practice my PPL skills XPlane11, show others what simming and or VR in simming is all about ASFS2 and lastly the one sim to use all my P3D addons like A2A planes and various HD airports in will be MSFS. Deadstick looks like it will also have a niche in my flying itch as well 😉 i9-13900K O/C | ASUS ROG Maximus Z790 Hero | 32GB DDR5 6000MHz Kingston FURY | RTX 4090 24GB | 2x SSD M.2 (2TB Samsung 990 PRO) 1x SSD (4TB Samsung 870 EVO) | Windows 11 Home | H20: HydroLux PRO:HardLine Tubing| 1000w PSU | Starlink WiFi
