April 21, 20206 yr Have you guys noticed if selecting this on a Samsung HD TV has any effect on P3D? I am trying to figure if this is mostly going to be for counsel type systems or if it benefits us. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next
April 21, 20206 yr I use a 55" Samsung NU6900 and I leave game mode off. I am still floored by how well this HDTV handles 24hz with P3D and XP11 at 24FPS and Vsync. It is actually smoother at that refresh rate than it is at 30hz. And by smooth I mean in the Black and white sense either smooth or not smooth and it is smooth period. If I turn game mode on its all over! Back to ghosting when panning and of course the lower the refresh rate/FPS the worse that gets. Yours is a different model so even though its the same brand, it's likely still an apples to oranges comparisons. Edited April 21, 20206 yr by Quasimodo
April 21, 20206 yr Author I'm pretty satisfied with mine also. Every now and then a very heavy scenario can give a test. But nothing to do with the monitor I think. I'm always chasing down ways to improve though. I lock mine to 29 or 30 and have been happy with that. When panning with chaseplane though I do prefer a few extra frames. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next
