SLI and DX12 basically do not work together:https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/directx-12-multi-gpu-and-sli.2942965/ In theory, DX12 offers a new method, called mGPU or Explicit Multiple GPU, which works like SLI, but it doesn't use the SLI cable anymore, just put 2 cards and that's it. However, it must be explicitly supported by the application, it's not a driver setting like SLI so, if the application hasn't been programmed for it, it will only use a single GPU.
