April 23, 20206 yr Hi folks, I've been running Prepar3D v4.5 flawlessy with my current PC specs. I wanted to give a try to v5 to see the diifferences (I don't want to swap to v5 yet), but I cannot manage it to run. I am getting the following errors: I didn't want to upgrade my beloved 780 Ti until RTX 30s are out. Is there any workaround for that issue? Thanks!
April 23, 20206 yr Afraid not, 780 Ti doesn't have full-feature DirectX 12 support and P3Dv5 is now running DirectX12. [MSI MPG X870E Carbon | 9800X3D (PBO +200Mhz / -20 Offset) | Corsair 64GB DDR5 (Custom Timings) | RTX 4090 Founders Edition (Undervolted) | WD SNX 850X 4TB + 4TB | Antec Flux Pro]
April 23, 20206 yr Nope, your card does not meet the minimum requirements for V5. Gigabyte x670 Aorus Elite AX MB; AMD 7800X3D CPU; Deepcool LT520 AIO Cooler; 64 Gb G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO DDR5 6000; Win11 Pro; P3D V5.4; 1 Samsung 990 2Tb NVMe SSD: 1 Crucial 4Tb MX500 SATA SSD; 1 Samsung 860 1Tb SSD; Gigabyte Aorus Extreme 1080ti 11Gb VRAM; Toshiba 43" LED TV @ 4k; Honeycomb Bravo.
April 23, 20206 yr Author Thanks both for your replies. That was my guess but now I have a confirmation. I'll stick with v4.5 until I upgrade the computer then.
