April 24, 20206 yr Hi all, For some reason Radar Contact has stopped working for me in P3D v5. (FSUIPC 6 installed the old way - placed in Modules folder. Windows 10.) Ever since I installed the Meatwater audio files (not certain that was the cause) I can not make a selection of 1 or 2 for ATC cearance for example. The word 'Standby' shows up anytime I press 1 or 2 (the two options on the ATC window). Nothing happens after that. In the Radar Contact voice options I can test and listen to controller voices but it does not work for pilot voices anymore. I click on a name and I hear nothing. I decided to uninstall RC and do a fresh install. Unfortunately I still have the same issues. The issue of not being able to select anything from the ATC window now is my main problem. Just wondering if anyone has experienced something like this before? Any ideas? Many thanks
April 24, 20206 yr Author Hello again, I shut everything down and loaded P3Dv5 and then RC and now it seems I am able to use RC somewhat, I can hear ATC but my pilot/co-pilot voices are not working, I hear no readbacks. As mentioned earlier clicking on a pilot's name in the Voices menu in order to hear what they sound like does not work either, very strange. Anyone have any ideas? Cheers.
April 24, 20206 yr Moderator I don’t have any immediate plans to install P3Dv5. I’d be surprised if RCv4 cannot work with this version of P3D as it just interfaces via FSUIPC6. Do you hear voices okay before pressing the RC Start button? If you can’t then it’s nothing to do with P3D since the connection hasn’t yet been established. That only happens when you press Start. Just launch RC4 and click on each voice set without running P3D. Report back. Ray (Cheshire, England). April 25, 20206 yr Author Hi Ray, Many thanks for your reply. I did what you suggested and I still had the same issue so I reinstalled everything again. Thankfully everything is working now. I made sure that the use pilot wavs options was ticked first and all the pilot voices worked. I tested it in P3Dv5 and they are all working fine. Thanks again
