No Success - not being recognised by program

Featured Replies

HI

I've downloaded the program for the 10 day trial and followed the installation instructions with regard to speech recognition set-up (Windows 10) etc, re regional settings etc.

I am able to get P2ATC to connect to both Xplane11 and P3Dv5 (I get the three lines on initial connection).

However I am unable to get the program to recognise me even though the PTT button goes green when I  press the button and I use the default callsign and follow prescribed statements.

I've completed the grammar training and the microsoft windows that appear recognise my voice, but the grammar window does not.  I click on practice, I get the prompt and the button changes to practising.  I click and hold on the PTT button giving a few seconds before & after to ensure it has ample time to detect my speech.  But the only result I get is "Full Txt".

I'm at a loss at what else to try and having spent some hours trying to resolve this, am close to uninstalling and returning to Radar Contact for offline and Pilot Edge to supplement my real world training, which is frustrating as their hours of operation aren't great for those of us in Europe.

Any last ditch recommendations would be appreciated!

In Grammar Helper, after your speech is not recognized and you get just the "Full Txt" message, have you tried pressing "Replay"?  That button will play back exactly what P2A heard.  If nothing is played back, it means the program is not getting input from your microphone.  If the replay is garbled or too low a volume, that will also give a clue what needs to be done.

Also, you don't want to give too much time before speaking.  Waiting a few seconds before speaking will cause the speech engine to stop listening.  Just wait a quarter second before starting to speak and see if that helps.

Finally, if you could email me ([email protected]) a screenshot of the information message that pops up when you press the Practice button, that may give me another clue.
