Elevators problem

Featured Replies

Hello. Yesterday I noticed a weird problem with aircraft's flight controls. I took off from an airport with everything working fine, and after 2 hours of flying when I disengaged the A/P the flight controls direction were right and down while I was not moving my joystick. Today when I tried to check if everything was fine, I noticed that the elevators was not moving. The rudder and ailerons were working perfect. I am dealing with this problem with all aircrafts. Furthermore, I am having this problem even when I am using only the keyboard for flight controls. So it's not a joystick problem or an issue from the addon aircraft I am using...

P.S. I'm FSX-SE for 4-5 years with the same hardware and software, and it's the first time I'm facing with something like this :(

I occasionally find that some of the controls can become unresponsive if I pause a flight for a long period of time or if my computer goes into ‘sleep mode’ while FSX is paused. I have never seen it specifically related to disengaging the AP though.

I had this issue. Elevator trim would keep rolling unless I had AP on. It turned out that I had a corrupted file in FSX folder. I emptied FSX folder from documents to a remote location then tried simulator. It worked OK.

I reinstalled files 1 at a time..... saved flight file was corrupted. I would start there, make sure you remove all 3 applications of each saved flights. If still acts up, you can always return to FSX folder.
