Sparkling EFIS screens

Recommended Posts

Hi , when using specifically the quality wings 787 ,( but I’ve also seen the effect on some other aircraft), from a distance the EFIS screens seem to sparkle in VR and aren’t readable . If I move my head nearer the screens they become crystal clear , but I have to to be too near them to realistically fly.

Its as though there are series of fine diagonal black lines running through the screens breaking up the information displayed when I look carefully, although other textures in the flight deck remain crystal clear it’s just the displays. The EFIS screens on the PMDG 747 don’t suffer with this effect and look as they should but the QW 787 awful.

I’m sure it’s just something simple either in the sim or the actual aircraft that can be changed in the settings, hopefully, but I’m not sure what ? Any suggestions gratefully received , I’m using a Samsung odyssey +

Thanks

Jon

Which headset and which VR settings are you using? I achieved a significant improvement by setting the supersampling rate to a value >1.5.

Thanks Felix. I’m using a Samsung odyssey plus through steam VR and have as far as I know just have the stock settings.
