Developer Mode problems [resolved]

Recommended Posts

I am running LINDA 3.2.3.1002, FSUIPC 6.0.8, and P3Dv4.5.  Every time I start LINDA the Developer mode is not checked, and so Tracer and Edito rare greyed out.  I have to go into LINDA Setup to check the Developer box and then back to the Settings page to activate Tracer or Editor . In previous versions of LINDA Developer mode, once checked, remained checked.  Thus Tracer and Editor were always in black and turned red when the mouse pointer was set onto it to start the mode.  Is this new arrangement related to the new version of FSUIPC or is it a program fault.  Additionally there now appears to be a timeout on the Developer use as it keeps switching off if you don't use the Tracer for several seconds. Then you have to return to Settings, restart Developer and the restart Tracer as well.  Is this how it is supposed to work at the moment or is there something that needs to be switched on to hold LINDA in the Developer mode.  Has anybody else come across this problem.

Try going to the Maintenance page and turn Fault Diagnosis Mode on.

EDIT This is a recent change with 3.2.x with FSUIPC6. The new mode overrides the previous Developer options by turning everything off or on. I was getting fed up repeating myself when normal users were reporting issues and not following the published instructions to provide me with the information I needed to help them. It has had the adverse effect you describe for a limited number of advanced users.
