October 19, 200619 yr I had a funny thing happen yesterday. I was taking the Baron down to RNO from BFI and wanted to top off the tanks for the trip. I hit SHIFT-F and it said I was number 1 for the fuel truck. I waited and waited for a whole 15 minutes and never did see that fuel truck. So I finely fired it up and taxied over to the fuel station on the other side of the airport and got my fuel. I never did see that fuel truck. It must have been lunch time :-lol
October 19, 200619 yr Were you also using AI traffic? At smaller airports the ground vehicles use the taxiways to get around and may get stuck waiting for AI aircraft.
October 19, 200619 yr Yeah I had light AI traffic on. Not much going on but a few planes taking off and landing plus a few taxiing out for departure. It must have gotten stuck by an AI aircraft.
October 19, 200619 yr Well I've had that happen before in real life. So I guess just following up on "As real as it gets" :)Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180 Tom Perry
October 19, 200619 yr I to had this happen but there was no ai at the airport, so there is something not working, i also tried it with AI off and the saem thing, i did see the fuel truck but you know what, it was just sitting there at the end of the taxiway before making the right turn towards me, it just kept sitting there for like 5 min until it went back to it's starting point, i know because i followed it around lol.I hope this can be fixed cause it would be great to see the fuel truck come up.
October 19, 200619 yr In order to call a fuel truck, you must be in a parking spot. I imagine what you will find is that if you look at it with whatever AFCAD program is working with FSX that you will see some sort of hiccup in the taxiways to the parking spot you were in. Anyone got an AFCAD program working yet?Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180 Tom Perry
October 19, 200619 yr Ah that was it i was not in a parking spot, thanks. Now i did see the fuel truck come up and give me fuel. However the other time it didnt work while he was just sitting there close to me.
October 19, 200619 yr It might have just been coincidental that he was close to you.Thomas[a href=http://www.flyingscool.com] http://www.flyingscool.com/images/Signature.jpg [/a]I like using VC's :-)N15802 KASH '73 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180 Tom Perry
October 19, 200619 yr Author I had the same problem.I followed the "taxi arrows" to parking but I did not pull far enought forward.I restarted the enging and pulled forward until my wheels touched the "T" top of the "T" in the parking space and the fuel truck came over sand stopped.Next I was presented with the fuel screen.I selected 100% for both tanks and clicked OK.Then the fuel truck departed.Where do you find the info for SHFT F keys to call the fuel truck? Are there a few undocumented key combinations like this? What I did when I installed FSX was to go to the control assigments menu and scroll through the entire list, taking note of actions that weren't present in FS9.
October 19, 200619 yr Author Hi azflyboy,Did you find SHFT F in the list?I looked but did not see it. Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
