Exclude FSX completely from ChasePlane Auto-Launch

Featured Replies

Hope Keven still monitors this forum as I think he is the only one who can help here. Must say, despite my misgivings, it is working allright with ORBX and I'm pleased to see regular updates coming through.

My problem is that I want to exclude FSX from ChasePlane completely. I have both FSX and P3D installed and use FSX for VR flying with FlyInside (very smooth frame rates and user-friendly controls, which I don't get with P3D).

I have excluded FSX from the Auto-Launch option in ChasePlane, but it still continues to modify ...\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\Cameras.CFG every time it starts up for P3D.

FlyInside for FSX needs a "clean" cameras.cfg file and bombs out every time on launch (after ChasePlane was used with P3D), with a message stating "the cameras.cfg file is missing the Virtual Cockpit camera. Please edit the cameras.cfg file so that the virtual cockpit camera contains the line: Title=Virtual Cockpit. Then restart FlyInside FSX"

That is what I have to deal with every time after using P3D+ChasePlane and then return to FSX for a bit of VR flying.

Can ChasePlane be made to leave other sims completely alone when they are excluded from Auto-Launch please, and NOT continue to modify their cameras.cfg files every time it launches?

We are working on releasing v1.2 soon.

I worked that functionality in this morning. Already created a Solution to explain how it's gonna work here: https://parallel42.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/44001951395

Let me know, once the update is released, if it works as expected for you
