EA question in V5 H1

Featured Replies

I use EA AND Active Sky in V5 HF2 lately because I discovered that my FPS are significantly higher in the sim with the EA/Active Sky combination than with just Active Sky alone. I can even turn up terrain complexity and mesh completely to the right with no serious effect on FPS. The sim is wonderfully smooth.  I never used EA in V5 or V5 HF1.  What I notice, however, and would like to improve is the level of contrast with the ground textures and sky.  Without EA, and with Active Sky alone the ground textures are darker and have more significant contrast with vegetation, the sky and the terrain in general.  WITH EA, the colors on the ground are much more muted and faded in comparison.

Is there a way to bring more "bang" and color "pop" to the terrain when using EA, or is that just the way it is?  There is a definite difference in color on my system when using EA.  Regardless, the positive results I get when using Enhanced Atmospherics is worth it to me.

The shaders for EA seem to be drastically different than when using default. I’m not sure if you can adjust using the lighting sliders, but to my eye they appear my “realistic” with EA vs non. My guess is this is a highly subjective area.

Yes.  You could be right on that.  That hazy look may indeed be more realistic.  Just thought I'd ask.  The lighting sliders don't really do anything.
