December 8, 200520 yr Not much of a glide ratio on that baby! http://www.flurl.com/uploaded/Ultralight_Crash_6402.html
December 8, 200520 yr That film clip is more fun than a basket full of dead babies,Jeez!.Poor kid!Hope he heals well.No one says flying is safe. The risks are always there.Put a camera on a motorcycle,or even a horse , and it will show some real "Funny" accidents. On a lighter side,I have some time in those kites. I started to late ,wish I pursued it much earlier. then of course, I would not be around now! On the Sim,ultra lits are fun.The great "Bill Lyons" has a super d/l.He incorporates many scenarios to fly.The one I like best is the "Flour Bombing" of a yellow bullseye. Thanx for the clip, theres humor in everything! CHEERS VIN! :-laugh1
December 12, 200520 yr No sputtering or anything on the engine--almost sounds like a kill switch was hit. You don't get to see him really hitting the ground but the trees slowed the descent. You wouldn't think he'd have all the body damage they list at the end, didn't look like that bad of a crash.David
December 12, 200520 yr Well, it also shows how well designed wingtip flight film flight recorders have come.Maybe he starved it somehow, or thought he had more fuel in there than he actually had.At least he survived... CryptoSonar on Twitch & YouTube.
December 12, 200520 yr Author Maybe it was the turbulence that flying over tree's causes in those things? I had a trip in one once and flying over 'Epping Forest' was extremely turbulent.Dave T. .........On the Devon Riviera and active 'FlightSim User's Group' member at http://www.flightsimgrpuk.free-online.co.uk/ Dave Taylor
