P3Dv5 HF2 Excessive RAM usage

Well ok now I really nearly understand how dynamic texture streaming works. Didn't even thought about that. Thanks for this great explanation🙂👍

I think I now got a good starting point for figuring out my sweet spot.

You guys are really one of the reasons I enjoy flight siming so much as I never experienced such a helpful community in any other environment!

@FgPunisher - On my 1080Ti while the VRAM is 11 Gb, some is reserved for Windows and other applications. In my HF2 install, 9.2 Gb is available in P3D. You can see this by pressing SHIFT+Z twice. I am sure your 2080Ti has the same usage rate.

HF2 seems to use a lot more Vram than HF1.  Anyone else find that?

In HF1 I could fly around UK with Orbx Tegb installed at a steady 3gb of vram.  With HF2 it's about 4.5 and increases sharply around some add-on airports.

I've reduced texture resolution that has helped a great deal but I still get crashes on occasions.
