Trouble with Jetways??

Featured Replies

I was having trouble with the Jetways, but I think the solution is that you MUST have a flight plan filed for them to work. No flight plan, no moving jetway.Or am I missing something?ThanksRob

I have no problems without a flight plan.

>I have no problems without a flight plan.Hmmm. Back to square 1 then.Is the Airbus 320 considered a Hevy?Maybe I'm getting the wrong place to the wrong size jetway?320 & 747 Hevy737 Med

Do you press Ctrl+J when you're standing at a gate with a jetway? That's the default command for Attach/Detach Jetway.Klas

No you do not need a flight plan. And you only need to get reasonably close to the parking spot--the jetways are fairly forgiving.But...You must have "advanced animations" turned on in the Display Settings dialog *AND* your video card must support Shader Model 2.0. The jetway animations were done using a technique that only works with SM 2.0 and above. (And, finally, even if your video card *says* it supports SM 2.0 some, like the nVidia FX5000 series, support it so poorly that we turn on that feature on those cards.) Hope that helps.

Does anyone know how to get the jetways to work with non-default aircraft? Is there something that needs to be added to the CFG files of the non-default planes that allows the jetways to detect the plane? Thanks,Carlyle

"Does anyone know how to get the jetways to work with non-default aircraft? Is there something that needs to be added to the CFG files of the non-default planes that allows the jetways to detect the plane?"ya, you have to add a exit profile from one of the default aircraft. like if you want the jetways to move on the a320 you have to copy and paste the exit profile from the a321. and then it will work
