FSX Default 747??????????????

Featured Replies

What is wrong with the FSX 747 default aircraft? I get double wings in all my default 747's. They show double in the preview window at the aircraft select screen too before the plane loads. I have added several 747's from FS9 with no problems. Here are some shots graetly reduced in size. Please help. Thanks, regards, Bob.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/159450.jpg

I found out that the problem was I had set my shaders off as recommended in one of the tweaks to raise frame rates. When I set them back on the problem went away. Strange that it only was a problem on the default 747 and no other default plane. It was not a problem on several 747's I imported from FS9. Regards to all, Bob.

Bob,Maybe it's the shaders that control the wing flex? When disabled, you get the 2 sets of wings. With shaders, depending on flight characteristics, the wings would move within the range in your picture.Just a guess ...JerryG

Yes. Wing flex is done with hardware shaders--specificlly 2.0 shaders--(same with the sail plane) as are the jetways. Disabling shaders will result in this.

Excellent, a Star Wars X-Fighter ... I'm turning off that wassname. Is there an aircraft that looks like a Tie Fighter if I disable? Would be great online :DAndrew Brown192029.png
