October 23, 200619 yr I received FSX on Friday 20th, and am generally pleased with it, especially considering my mid-range machine. Performance is adequate, especially for VFR low'n'slow at small airports. Two niggles have emerged so far.1. I've been flying the introductory missions etc, and saved one mid-way through. However there appears to be no way to reload this mission. It does not show up in the list of saved flights (or missions for that matter). It is in my saved flights folder, along with a free flight I have also saved. I can load that one.2. ALT-TAB back to desktop seems to be a lot less reliable than FS9, and I have had problems ALT-TAB'ing back into FSX. Occasionally it has locked up completely and has to be killed through task manager. Has anyone else suffered this or is it unique to my machine?
October 23, 200619 yr I had the Alt-Tab prob with the Demo. Click on FSX on the taskbar and press "Esc" ... does that bring it back to life? Quote from MS Flight Team Lead: "We’ve made some guesses"
October 23, 200619 yr Hi, same here, regarding #2. I've had considerable trouble ALT-TABbing back to FSX. It usually works if I open the Task Manager and "Switch to" FSX. I hadn't yet had a FSX lock, though.Regards,Jure
October 23, 200619 yr The saved mission shows up in the missions menus as a subset in red, not in the load saved flights menu.
October 23, 200619 yr >The saved mission shows up in the missions menus as a subset>in red, not in the load saved flights menu.Found it, there's a check box on the Missions selection screen to "show saved missions". Self explanatory, really. ;)I've also tried using the Escape key to get back into FSX from the taskbar. That seems to work better, but the whole process is still very slow and doesn't fill me with confidence. Item #286 on the bug list for the patch?
