sry if this has been answered befor but I could find an answer to this specific problem.

I recently got back to P2A and thought it was time to update the ARTCC data. So I got fsAerodata, followed the steps with bgl2xml and got it updated in P2A. Then I did a flight from LOWW to EDDF. As far as I know after departure I should have got handed over to Vienna then Rhein Radar and in the end Langen Radar for the approach. But what I got was Vienna, Prague, Bremen Radar and then Langen Radar. From what I can see, the German Airspace data is a real mess compared to all the countrys around it but I do fly a lot there so it is a little bit of an immersion breaker.

I also opened the ingame ATC windows wich actually wanted me to go Rhein Radar. So I more or less narrowed it down to somewhere between the bgl conversion or the update of the P2A database. Is someone familiar with this or something similar and what could I have down wrong to cause this?

Go to Taxi Mnt in P2A and then select the ARTCC tab.  There you can Display the ARTCC regions, names and frequencies.  Zoom the map in to the area you want to see before pressing the Display ARTCC button.

Then, you can view and edit the frequencies and Center Names.

I already looked at the regions an thought "oh no, that one better works right away" because there is no way that I could figure this out in a resonable amount of time. 😄 Germany in the FsAerodata Database is really clutterd with subsectors most of them only reaching up to around 8000 feet. Would it be possible to get rid of those in the xml befor updating, so that I can get a better overview of whats going on first, or would this be more harm than good? Could the overlapping of many of those sectors be the reason for the misinterpretation of P2A? I'm just getting into this so sry if those are some very basic questions.

I see no reason you couldn't edit the xml if you are comfortable with that.  However, if the form of the XML is damaged it won't load, so be sure to make a backup before you start editing.

You may also want to contact fsAeroData and notify them of the issues you are having.  They control the data source and may be able to make the edits for you if you give them enough details.

Thanks, I will talk to them. I will come back here with the results. Could take some time though, as I dont have a lot of time for tweaking my Sim right now.

Just one last question out of curiosity: Does P2A differentiate between FIR and UIR?

Not at this time.  We just use the one controller per controller boundary as provided by the ARTCC data and treat them all as "Center" controllers.
