August 7, 20205 yr Hi, Everytime I visit the avsim forum it's a struggle to navigate through all the forum categories. I tried to toggle all of them I never use, but always I re-login they are showing as before. This is annoying, because most of the categories I do not use and it's a scrolling fight and difficult to find the right one instantly. Why does the forum software does not save my toggle preferences.
August 7, 20205 yr Administrators Have you tried NOT logging out when you leave the forum? UPDATE: I just tried it by toggling 4 different forum categories and then going offsite to several other places. The toggles stayed in place as I left them upon return. 🤔 Charlie AronAVSIM Board of Directors-ADMIN/Moderator-RegistrarJust going to run a Chromebook and not upgrade to a Windows computer. August 7, 20205 yr Author Thank you for this hint. The issue was likely that I generally block all cockies (not the real ones ;)). With an extra permission for the forums, it appears to work Still, I have the feeling the avsim forums are quite overloaded. Even I can see the thoughts behind it, the feeling does not vanish that it could be a bit more oragnized. Just to name an example: Instead of having five different seperate forums on "how to" do things. They could be migrated into one big "How to forum" or a forum called "how to", with subforums consisting of the following five: FSX | P3D Missions Forum - How To FSX/FSX-SE Aircraft and Panel Design Forum - How To FSX | FSX-SE Scenery Design Forum - How To The Paint Shop - The Aircraft Painter's Forum - How To Mesh Scenery Design - How To That would save a lot of scrolling and would make definitively defenetively more sense, since the main idea of these forums is about creating new stuff for the fightsim...
