August 15, 20205 yr Hi Oliver, Addon Organizer v1.55 b10 Prepar3D V5 HF2 ORBX True Earth GB North I've been trying my best to work out why I am seeing this: To date nothing has worked, including the recreation of scenery.cfg, addons.cfg, scenery_add-ons.xml, rebuilding of scenery indexes, running ORBX Sync, ORBX Verify Files, reinstallation of ORBX TE GB North and confirming the default ORBX Insertion points are set correctly in ORBX Central. The issue stubbornly remains - ? Layering issue I've inspected the Scenery listing in your Addon Organizer and note that several entries are highlighted in purple suggesting incorrect paths and yet, after checking, I see nothing wrong path-wise. I'm wondering whether the above example could have anything to do with it. As I mentioned, there are a few other entries highlighted in purple, but I thought I should check with you first before proceeding any further. Thanks. Best regards, Mike

P4AO highlights empty scenery paths too, because sometimes P3D wouldn't start if there were some of those. What you are seeing looks more like a layering issue to me. Are you sure that one of the TE parts shouldn't go below the default scenery (Layer 2 or 3)? But to be sure you would have to compare the library entries with someone who has TE working. August 16, 20205 yr Author Hi Oliver, I checked again, this time more closely. In this instance the path ends with the folder FTX_EU_!GBN_08_CUSTOM. That folder contains 4 sub-folders: Scenery (1 file - Do_Not_Remove.txt which is empty) Scenery_OFF (434 bgl files) Texture (1 file - Do_Not_Remove.txt which is empty) Texture_OFF (49,605 agn files) Would that be sufficient to explain the 'incorrect path'? There are several other instances each with at least a Scenery folder containing an empty text file (as above) or, as in one instance, a dummy text file (dummy file for v5.txt containing 'v5'). Looks like we are in agreement regarding it being a layering issue. I think I may know someone with TE GB North installed. Best regards, Mike
August 16, 20205 yr Commercial Member Hello Mike, that looks like "something" disabled parts of the scenery. It wasn't P4AO though. Did you try to exchange the "off" parts with the active ones, just to try it out? On another note, I find it strange that there is an exclamation mark in the path names. That is not something I would recommend, but I am an old school programmer. Are these the default ORBX paths? Best regards LORBY-SI
August 16, 20205 yr Author Hi Oliver, 1 hour ago, Lorby_SI said: Are these the default ORBX paths? Unfortunately I don’t have an answer to that. Hopefully someone else might chip in here. However, on further thought, there might be something I can try meantime which might shed some light on this - I’ll get back to you later today. 1 hour ago, Lorby_SI said: Did you try to exchange the "off" parts with the active ones, just to try it out? No, but I’ll give it a shot to see what happens. Are you able to respond to my question regarding whether folder content would be sufficient to explain the signalled ‘incorrect path’? "Violet" doesn't mean "incorrect". It is just alerting you that there is a Path entry in a scenery area that is either pointing nowhere or to a location that doesn't have scenery data in it. Which is the case, if there is only that txt file. Best regards LORBY-SI

Hi Oliver, My understanding is that the exclamation mark means nothing for P3D, its an Orbx flag they set to identify some of their scenery, I notice that their True Earth Netherlands HD product also exhibits the ! as in !NDL (see image a few posts above). Also, it seems to be being used for their OpenLC Lights entries: Best regards, Mike Edited August 16, 20205 yr by Cruachan
