August 17, 20205 yr I have been reading where people have preordered 2020 and it downloaded but will not launch until a designated time. I went to Microsoft’s website and preordered for pc but it didn’t download anything. It only said that I had successfully preordered. Will I have to go back and download at a specific time or did I somehow miss a step. Seems like a lot of folks will be trying to download around the same time. Understanding that this question is probably stupid to a lot of folks, I appreciate the response. I’m from the pre-computer generation and I’m trying my best. Thanks
August 17, 20205 yr Administrators Welcome to the AVSIM forum! I thought there was an app to also download when pre-ordering. August 17, 20205 yr Go to your MS account, make sure your PC is a registered device on your MS account, then when you are sure it is, go to your MS account and look at your purchases, where MS Flight Sim is listed, there will be a play/install button you can click on. If you change your region in your windows PC settings to somewhere such as Kiribati (in a different time zone), the download can manually be triggered early by finding the Flight Sim icon on your PC's start menu, although whether you want to do this last bit is up to you, otherwise it will probably be downloadable in your time zone in about five hours time. August 17, 20205 yr Author I appreciate that. I remember it asking me about an assigned device. I have to go back and figure out how to do that. I thought it would default to my pc. It will definitely be out by the time I’m sorted.
