Hi all,Well, after spending all day Sat. until 3am Sun. trying to achieve perfection with FSX by trying all the tweaks, I ended up with flashing clouds and messed up textures and removed it from my HD. But after reading here and seeing the cool things about the sim, I started rethinking it. I put it back on last night and embarked on the long, perhaps tedious mission of documenting my changes and documenting in a .xls the framerate improvements at four different airports, same situation, aircraft, etc. for each change I make. Meanwhile, I am flying cross country in my Lear in FS9 for a break. Someday, maybe I will restart my 48 state flight in FSX. We need a fix for the desert textures before I do that.So far I have gone from 6-ish with the settings Microsoft picked for my machine to 17 solid and gaining. My machine is no slouch and I am going to get the most out of it. An upgrade is out of the question (except perhaps a better video card). This thing has a hold on me...dolph

<>How do you think we feel? Seriously, thanks for sticking with. There's lots of good stuff in there.

Thats the spirit... stick with it!;-)Now that's what I'd call a dedicated simmer: up till 3AM (like me sometimes!) tweaking FSX and loging results into a spreadsheet, then flying FS9 to "take a break" from the new FS before going back to it again! :-lol :-lol :-lolHey ACES: don't ya' think there ought to be an award for the most dedicated flight simmer, like an all expense paid trip to visit to your headquarters as geek VIP du jour?!!!:-hahGaryGB
