Happy to be here!  Ever since a youngster, I was in love with airplanes and the "magic" of flying.  Around 11 years old, my uncle (a private pilot) showed me MSFS95 and I was hooked.  Taking off from Meigs Field, and looping out over Lake Michigan made me absolutely love flying.  From there, I moved to MSFS98, and lastly MSFS2002.  At that point, I got mostly out of simming (college, work, lack of a computer that would handle it).  I dabbled in Falcon 4.0 for a little while.  I never got into Xplane or other sims (not for any good reason).  When MSFS2020 was announced last summer, I was shockingly happy.  I decided that I would build out a proper rig (by my standards) to get back into the cockpit.

As I've been reading up on things, I found this to be a heck of a resource on this website.  Will I joy-fly? Yes.  But deep down, I want to fly (as I used to) the "right way".  For me, flight sims are a way to do something that I could never do in real life.  Maybe it is learning on a 172, or "visiting" family in a KingAir.  Running through a start up procedure on a 747 gives me goosebumps. This is why I sim.

I'll help anyone however I can!

My uncle taught me "how to fly" on MSFS95, got MSFS98 for a birthday, and I have been hooked ever since

Welcome aboard!  There’s plenty of room for serious procedural simming and just sometimes wanting to light the fires and kick the tires...that’s the beauty of it.  If you’ve been out of simming for a while you’re going to be blown away when some of the high fidelity airline addons make their way to MSFS (PMDG, FS Labs, Majestic, Leonardo).
