August 19, 20205 yr Hey guys! I have a couple of questions. First off, I know this sim is brand new, and i’ve tried to put everything to the lowest settings, but for some reason, im not getting even 10 frames per second. My computer has 16 GB of RAM. AMD Ryzen 7 processor, 475 GB SSD. The only requirement it doesn’t meet is the Graphics card, mine is an AMD Radeon RX Vega 11 mobile (you can tell that this is a Surface Laptop 3). Does the graphics card really impact that much on performance? If it does, I only thought it impacted the resolution, and appearance of the sim. Can someone help me with this? Also, my premium deluxe edition of FS2020 didn’t install for some reason. On the Microsoft Store, in the “All owned” section, it says for the deluxe and premium deluxe upgrade “this product won’t work on this device”. Thanks for the help! Bill Johnston
August 20, 20205 yr Unfortunately you need a more powerful system to run the Sim. Laptops and tablets normally have very weak graphics capabilities. Onboard graphics are slow and use onboard RAM. I would say the installer looked at your system and recommended not installing it. Most sims like X-plane run very badly on low power GPUs, but they do not use ORTHO so they can run easier. MSFS 2020 really needs a pretty powerful GPU to show the photo quality landscape. Time for a desktop game machine I would say. Good luck...
