August 22, 20205 yr If you don't have a G sync monitor and wish to limit FPS to 30, you may find it locking OK, using the in SIM settings, but it ain't very smooth. Various combos of locking the FPS in nVidia and/or setting your monitor to 30 Hz, work to varying degrees of success. Bert Pieke's fix for P3D actually works perfectly in MSFS too ! https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/553608-frustrated-with-setting-monitor-to-30hz-an-alternative/ Set Scansync to X/2 (click on it and toggle through) and set the value in the right box to minus/negative 1. Then run your monitor at default 60 Hz and turn off Vert sync in the SIM. Nothing more required. Voila ! RivaTuner Statistics Server comes with MSi Afterburner. I found a wierd combo that had similar results, but it meant locking my monitor to 30 Hz.... Not ideal and mouse lag is bad. But Bert's find is STELLAR !
