  1. Yeah so what's happening is that the dials are registering very quickly in the sim. It's the info coming back and the new values being dispkayed in the Window on tge SD+ that's taking time. It's to be expected I guess, as it depends on your system and how many you have connected.
  2. Hi there. Yeah... what is actually happening is the number on the strip above the dial sometimes lags. The numbers change immediately in the sim... say Heading in the MCP... but the new number on the SD + screen will update a second or 2 later. And the faster I spin the dial the more it happens. Net result is that it's better to watch the numbers change in the sim rather than on the SD. But as I said, it varies and often depends on what else is going on in my enormous collection of USB devices 🤣 My new cable being plugged directly into its own port has improved it noticeably, but not massively. Hope that makes sense.
  3. Doesn't responsiveness and Performance equal the same thing ?
  4. So if I increased the refresh rate is that likely to send data TO my SD display faster ... and thus minimise the lag in updating ? Thnx again.
  5. I wondering is reducing the refresh rate of my other SDs... Mk2 and XL... which display stuff like airspeed and weather etc... the SD+ may be a little more responsive ?
  6. Thnx for that. Are there any settings I can change such as refresh rate in the A and Ohs config files... and what affect does that gave ?
  7. OK guys ... so I've experimented and thought I'd share, as I started all the moaning ! 😁 I got a very good quality 3m USB cable with extremely high Gen 2 (20) bandwidth for data... AND up to 500mA/100W power capacity. I shoved this into a direct USB Gen 2 port direct to motherboard. This should remove cable deficiency from the equation. I then turned the other 2 SDs off, uskng just the Plus. When it came to using the dials for adjusting Alt, CRS and Heading etc., it turns out that the affect on the MCP setting is INSTANTANEOUS ! So that's good. What IS still lagging though, is the info coming back to the SD+ display in the Strip window. It does tend to lag a bit... so it paused at say 300 degrees for a few seconds, then jumps to wherever it is is at that point, in the MCP dislay in the aircraft... say 339. TBH though given there is bi-directional transfer of data going on all over the place it's hardly surprising. So it's good as it going to get. However, the lag is MUCH less now I have the Plus on it's own dedicated USB channel with a good cable.
  8. Have to agree with this sentiment. Great app and I rely on it for many things. But because the only Manual reads like an engineering blueprint I have to rely purely on other people's profiles. I have no idea how to customise or create profiles for new aircraft. Shame really. Here's a typical example: FROM THE MANUAL ------- C:\Users\...\AppData\Roaming\Elgato\StreamDeck\Plugins\com.lorbysi.aao.sdPl ugin\settings.js The file can be edited with a simple text editor: const AAO_URL = "http://localhost:9080/webapi"; const REFRESH_MS = 100; const REPEAT_MS = 250; const LONG_CLICK_MS = 750; If you are experiencing performance problems with the Elgato app or the StreamDeck, you can slow down the refresh rate of the plugin with the second parameter “REFRESH_MS”. - A value of 1000 equals one refresh every full second. - Don’t go below 100 (refresh happens 10 times a second) You can also change the speed at which a button that is being held down repeats the associated action (250ms = 4 times per second) or when the “long click” option kicks in (750ms by default) ... END ------------ Now... there is no elaboration here: what, for example, are the practical implications of these refresh rate settings ? I'm getting a lag with the SD+ dials. So... do I increase or decrease refresh rates ? And the rest of the manual is the same.
  9. Thnx. I have a 3-metre super powerful 20 quid cable arriving later. Importantly it carries power 100W / 500mA... and it's USB C gen 3.2 (20) for data. It's designed for VR stuff apparently. No doubt overkill but it will at least remove the "limitation" of the powered-hub element. IF it improves... I'll add other stuff back into the mix until it doesn't any more. Hopefully I'll improve things. But TBH I'm thinking that running 3 SDs and a bunch of button boxes all from one app, may be pushing it a bit. I've also got Saitek panels/radio run by Spad.next ... I guess the entire USB system can only cope with so much data, before stuff starts to queue up ? Thnx !
  10. Really ? I've read the manual and quite frankly I'm none the wiser. The lack of information is letting down this app. It reads like a dictionary.
  11. Hmmm... I'm currently about to try different cables and direct routing rather than using powered hubs. Been thinking it may affect it.
  12. So I have 3 SD's but use the Plus as an AP in MSFS. Quite often, if I'm adjusting a dial... say for Heading ... there is a freeze and a few seconds wait, and the value has changed by 10 or 15. Are there any settings that improve this "queuing up" effect ? Thnx
  13. Hi. So is it possible to dial stack with the SD+ in MSFS ? I'M using Geunsrli's stuff etc and was wondering if heading, course IAS etc could all be mapped to 1 dial, by pressing the dial, to toggle between modes ? If so, are there any tutorials ? Thnx
  14. While you guys are here, why does the FMC limit speed to c260 kias at 20,000 feet ? ...Is it a structural thing ?
  15. Do these look like a picture in a browser window ? I used to have on that was an actual app. Awesome but they gone out of biz by the looks of it.
  16. So the typical range of a standard 736 is like 1350 nm with full carg/PAX. So the 300nm range it advertises is basically meaningless as who flies with zero cargo except delivery. But I'm finding refs to a HGW version that does double that range ! Sorry but that's impossible. (Why won't this place let me insert a link to an image !) Anyhow see here. https://ibb.co/HCwzCYQ
  17. Anyone having issues with Ai traffic ? Doesn't appear to be much airport actuvity, or do I need to crank it up to max, which wouldn't be great for other, bigger airports... ?
  18. It is. With much better performance too. I agree P3D wasn't great
  19. Anyone else have really ugly reflection effects on the left side window hatchey thing ?
  20. The guy has a point. Just downloaded it but I gave no idea where it is It is not under tgmhe TDS folder in the Start menu and no shortcut is created. This is pretty basic.
  21. Why does nothing Arm ... in white ? (I now have the ILS working thanks.) But when I activate an AP mode... it just immediately greens up... even though it should be armed as we're nowhere near currently.... could be activating Nav or Altutide. Very confusing. Altitude should not be Active ... Green... when I'm climbing in VS mode.
  22. So is the concensus that the MIAP can be programmed using Axis and Ohs just like any other controller/arduino device ? I'm tossing up between this and a Streamdeck Plus, which is 3x the size and twice the price. Thnx for advices.
  23. So it appears my Stream Deck was causing issues. Having narrowed it down, I managed to do 4 perfect intercepts this afternoon. The new update to A & Ohs had changed the Port and needed allowing through the Firewall. I'm pleased and relieved as I like the TBM. But it does not explain the intermittent behaviour of the BS Caravan.
  24. How do you check if the Port Forwarding is working ? If I cluck on the port info a webpage opens but not properly. Does it need to be allowed under firewall rules? Thnx
