Landed the 172 at my home airport after a manual trip around the city and somehow got the "By the book" one for starting the 320's engines manually, and also somehow got "deadstick landing" which I saw actually pop up in the sim as I was landing.  Uh, the engine was on all I did was pull the throttle all the way back the same as landing the 152 last night at a different airport.  Strannnnnge.

I got the By the book achievement erroneously in MS version as well, so not just a steam issue.

Ahh I was just assuming those were Steam things.  The dead stick thing was odd as well. I had to double check the engine was was still on. (Think I need to turn my volume up for this sim). 

I got the "By the Book" Steam achievement too. There's a "Start Me Up" achievement with exactly the same description, so I think it just got accidentally copied to "By the Book". From the icon and title I'm guessing it has something to do with using ATC.

And I also got "Deadstick Landing" when the engine was never off. I had it at idle for the flare, but it was never off.

MSFS seems weird in general about keeping stats. Per Steam, it thinks I've taxied 84 miles (I haven't), and have pushed back for over a mile. No idea what those are about; I think I've only pushed back once when I spawned with something right in front of me, but probably for less than 50 feet.
