October 29, 200619 yr In FSX we can setAverageFrameRate=1,1on one of the info display sections in fs9.cfg. I made,AverageFrameRate=1,1under yhe "TextInfo.3" section.and now when I SHIFT-Z for the 3rd time I get what I believe to be minimum, average and max FPS, but this "[]"-section is followed by a percentage. Does any one know how to interpret it?Also, what does de Geeforce parameter mean? Thx in advance for any hints...

Does any one know how to interpret>it?The V percentage stands for what ACES terms "voluability" and I have referred to in the past as "variance," both of which simply mean the delta between min and max, expressed as a percentage.Note that most of the default a/c have a V in the range of 3-6%, which indicates a well balanced aircraft package. This is why as a developer of FS aircraft, I pay far more attention to the V than I do the raw fps numbers. As a rule-of-thumb, lower V results in smoother overall performance... ;)As of the G value, I have no idea... I simply ignore it... *:-* Fr. Bill AOPA Member: 07141481 AARP Member: 3209010556 Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
October 29, 200619 yr I believe the "G" value is the "G's" your "virtual" body is withstanding at that moment in the plane. And thanks for the meaning of "v", I had been wondering myself.
