August 25, 20205 yr If I want to practice landings at, say, KSFO, is there a way to set up a flight so it starts at 10,000', 15 miles out from KSFO at 220 kia ?, [to use example numbers], Thanks T45
August 25, 20205 yr @Treetops45 You can choose any point, I believe, as a starting point. I'd maybe start at ARCHI or EDDYY for SFO. I haven't found a way to set an altitude or airspeed, though... except that I think I did find some files in the aircraft folder for each aircraft that specify the starting conditions for in flight, on runway, etc. I'll look into that more, but give that a try. So just set your departure point as somewhere other than the airport. Edited August 25, 20205 yr by cwburnett 5800X3D | Radeon RX 6900XT

So just set your departure point as somewhere other than the airport. Using the C152 I tried about 10 nm from KSFO, over land. Left clicked on the globe & it produced a box, "Custom Departure". With GPS coords, Bearing, wind speed & an altitude of 1,640'. I cracked the throttle to 75% & hit 'Fly Now' & the aircraft flew ok. Not sure if 1,640' is a standard altitude, need to try other aircraft T45
