So, l loaded up the Solo Pattern Practice mode in a Cessna 152. Using the graphic settings I have read in this forum, turned on the dev mode and I fiddled with the settings until I’m getting 65-75 fps sitting on the runway, default view (with occasional micro-stutters). After that, I locked Vsync to 60 and voila! Smooth as silk simulation even with the A320 but dev mode showing fps at 30. Using a 4k tv my pc usage are as follows: Rendered at 50 : cpu @ 54-62% all cores; gpu @ 55-68% Rendered at 100: cpu @ 75-86% ; gpu @ 100% I’ll take a better video later, but here’s what I took last night after I was blown away. I was holding my iphone while recording my tv. Sorry for the shaky hands at the start. Test flight @ Toronto Landing Challenge Notice how the shadows come and go. Here is a video using an A320 with Development mode enabled (CPU/GPU usage window included). This time I’m using the Sydney landing challenge as test bed. Video taken using my iphone but this time it’s on a tripod. Video is not edited so you can fast forward during the loading part. Also notice when I moved to the co-pilot’s seat, there was a 12 second stutter and CPU went up to 100% (must be data loading???). But after that, it was back to nirvana. Enjoy! A320 test flight @ Sydney Landing Challenge Obviously this is rendered at 1080p. I will post the same video tonight with the rig running at 4K. Usually I have to lower the settings which is mostly on “High” except buildings and vector data on “Medium”. GPU will surely be at 100%, shadow artifacts and minimal stutters can be seen but I am now convinced that at least 50% of the stutters are being removed by the TV’s “Auto Motion Plus” which I see was set on “standard”. Even at 4K the game is still very very playable. I also forgot to mention this is a clean install and I used Nick’N Fsx Guide to optimize my PC after installation of FS2020. August 28, 20205 yr Welcome to the forums! It's awesome you're getting great results, and despite many posts here dedicated to the opposite, I think (like as is always the case)...people generally come to the forums if they are having issues. If they are running great, they tend to stay in the game and be awe-struck, hence the majority of posts regarding issues. I have great hope for this sim, without a doubt the best thing to happen to flight simming since LM picked up the old version of MSFS and ran with it to give us what we have now in P3D.
