August 29, 20205 yr Well.. I just landed at Dodge City Regional in MFS 2020. Diamond 40-NG. IFR from the east.. about 130 miles or so. I didnt keep track of time but it took a while.. most of the trip was at about 110 indicated. Enroute I flew at about 10k feet . The view between the cloud layers was awesome. I had to dodge an ugly cloud (red on the nexrad) about half way there . I flew VOR to VOR (radio nav) . for the approach I chose the ils rw14 dme arc from EARPP . I used the Autopilot via heading mode and DME off the DDC vor for the ARC. I came around and, back on nav mode, flew the ILS south east , in and out of rain. armed approach and it took me perfectly down the glide slope once intercepted. I cancelled IFR (with the built in atc) and made ctaf calls the rest of the way. The cloud bottoms were well over minimums, just doing the approach for practice/enjoyment. I flew the last 500 feet in by hand and (if i may say so myself) touched down beautifully. It was very cool. Edited August 29, 20205 yr by Wewk584 [XP11 BETA/FS2020 BETA] [Pilotedge BETA/Vatsim BETA]

August 29, 20205 yr Author Oh wow! I had to look at the plate for a minute to see where the runway was . (not the large inset but the actual runway) .. that looks like a fun approach. You have to do your own descent , and the obstructions at the sides of the arc is probably why the minimums are about 900 feet agl ... but, at least that gives you time to configure (I actually kept within a 1/3ish mile of the arc dme @ dodge city but this arc takes you right to the runway. Nice one.. I'll put it on my todo 😉 [XP11 BETA/FS2020 BETA] [Pilotedge BETA/Vatsim BETA]
