Can anyone explain an issue that I'm having with the Longitude autothrottle, where it doesn't disconnect?

 

I'll be flying along, then when I need to shut it off to land, it doesn't respond to being clicked on.  The last flight I made I had to shut the engines off in order to touch down.

Try binding A/T disconnect to a keyboard or flight stick and test it early in your approach.  If it works, which it should, turn your A/T back on knowing they will disconnect on short final.

I don't see an option for disconnect autothrottle.

Making a flight right now, I tried shutting it off while climbing out, only a few minutes after engaging it, and already it wouldn't shut off.  There must be a reason for this.
