September 2, 20205 yr Is it possible to create a fixed spot view as in FSX, where the aircraft moves relative to your viewpoint rather than the chase view where the scenery appears to revolve around a fixed aircraft? I can't shake the impression that the aircraft is bobbing about on a piece of string like something out of Gerry Anderson's Thunderbirds- if you're old enough to recall that ordeal by puppetry!

I posted an exactly similar question a couple of hours ago, but it disappeared off the page quickly. Hopefully your thread will stay alive longer! I've tried altering the main camera cfg to make the spot view fixedchaselocked but the sim still loads the less exciting "follow my heading" camera which is nothing like as good. Either they have disabled a locked heading view or the syntax could be wrong. I recall in FSX you could type in "FixedChaseLocked" or "FlatChaseLocked" and they both held the camera on its own heading. September 3, 20205 yr I really miss this camera option, it's what I used all the time in FSX/P3D. Hopefully it gets added in at some point.
