September 8, 20205 yr Hi everyone, Today I attempted a from Dublin to Madrid but ran out of fuel due “centre” and “inner” thanks being empty. How do I change fuel mid flight to my “outer” thanks which were both 100% full. Apologies if this a silly question, very new to flight sim! I started the journey with around 80% fuel. Thanks!
September 8, 20205 yr This doesn't directly answer your question, but all of your fuel pumps must be on before takeoff. Never heard of anyone flying with only the center pump. J.C. September 8, 20205 yr I think the simulations of the fuel systems are not so good also 🙄 According to SimBrief I had plenty of fuel in a few flights but ran off much before the end of the flight! Edited September 8, 20205 yr by rob0203

Happened to me twice now. First time I thought it was a bug second time I checked and outer tank was "zero" but overall fuel was still 36% full but outer tanks being 100% full. Quite frustrating because I was going to make my best landing yet.... 😛

September 8, 20205 yr The A320 Neo burns a lot more fuel than its real life counterpart. I think I averaged 50kg/min during the entire cruise. One problem might be that the Gross Weight isn't changing. Your ideal cruise therefore might be 29,000 instead of 36,000, for instance. Often times you will be unable to do step climbs because of the gross weight glitch. Another problem is that fuel "vanishes". Look at the fuel burn and do the math. I had 5,000kg vanish on me on my last flight, and ran out of gas about an hour earlier than expected. Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune. There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you. It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.
