Axis And Ohs - Combo buttons not working correctly

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm trying the demo of Axis And Ohs with MSFS but I cannot get combo buttons to reliably work.
I have those two assignments:

But only the one added or updated last (whichever it is) will work, I cannot get them to work both. I also checked the ConfigDatabase_MSFS.xml, and except for the key-down-event and the button numbers the entries are identical.

There are several bugs in the combo logic of that version. The update to 1.70 will be out in the next few days, that should make them work a lot better.

Just so I understand the use case - you are trying to map the elevator trim so you always have to press two joystick buttons at the same time? And different ones at that?
The combo logic was intended as a toggle when you don't have enough buttons and want to map several actions onto the same encoder. So let's say button 4 is your trim. You would assign 4 without any combo for trim up and then 4 with 5 as combo for trim down. So when you press 4 alone, it trims up, and 4&5 together will trim down.

Best regards

Yes. The Honeycomb Alpha has dual-trim-switches like real yokes (like one big switch but split into two halves) and the realistic behavior is that you have to have both circuits closed for the trim to activate.
In MSFS itself it works (it will show something like "Button 4 + Button 6" in the assignment). In AAO it's weird that it works on one combo assignment, but not anymore when you add another assignment with different buttons.

OK, so I just tested this in version 1.70.

  • I used 4 joystick buttons to map the trims on a CH Flightsim device
  • 4 as primary and 6 as combo for trim up, repeat fast
  • 5 as primary and 7 as combo for trim down, repeat fast

Works for me, I can trim up and down without issues when I press the assiciated buttons at the same time.

So I am cautiously optimistic that your use case is covered in the next version of AAO.

Best regards
