How to add external function to joystick ?

Featured Replies

Hello,

Can we add a screenshot/video recording function to a button of the joystick we use ?

I'm using "Alt F1" for screenshots, "Alt F9" for video recording, from my keyboard.
I would like to use button 1 from my joystick for video capture and button 8 for screenshots !

Thanks in advance.

FSUIPC7 can map buttons to keystrokes, plus a lot more with MFS. It's free for now, but will require a license in the near future. https://forum.simflight.com/topic/90193-fsuipc7-beta-for-msfs/

JoyToKey is also an option for button to keypress mappings: https://joytokey.net/en/ It's $7 but free to try.

If you have some basic experience with scripting/programming, AutoHotKey https://www.autohotkey.com/ is free and can map buttons to keystrokes, plus a whole lot more.

Fsuipc does the job with Ctrl F1 and Ctrl F9. (button 1 and 😎
I have reassigned
alt F1 to Ctrl F1
alt F9 to Ctrl F9
Because I cannot enter ALt  F1 in fsuipc : I have not understood the Altkey.LUA file right now.

I will have  look to Autohotkey : it can be  very useful program !
