October 3, 20205 yr The reason for updating to Pilot2ATC V2.6 is FS2020, but the failure that I have run into probably has more to do with me deviating from standard procedures than with FS2020. I have a new, much larger, much faster SSD on which I wished to install the upgrade of Pilot2ATC v2.6. So I copied my directory of Pilot2ATC v2.5 to my new SSD and installed v2.6 over it. That didn't work. A second attempt, to install v2.6 over the original location now also fails with the following error message: "Unable to initialize Database. The underlying provider failed on Open. An attempt to attach an auto-named database for file D:\Pilot2ATC_2018_x64\DataP2ADynamicData.mdf failed. A database with the same name exists, or specified file cannot be opened, or it is located on UNC share." I am sorry to bother you with the mess I have created, but how do I proceed? Han Schouten

Probably the best way to handle it is to: Delete the P2A installation folder so you can start fresh. Download the full program, including Navigraph or NavDataPro data Install the full version If you have a data subscription, update the data as usual. This should get you back on track. October 4, 20205 yr Author Hi Dave, thanks for your quick answer and that during the weekend! I have removed every trace of old versions, at least I believe I did. I have uninstalled P2A and removed the directories that contained the p2a.exe files. Moreover I have removed the directories under ...\AppData\Roaming\Pilot2ATC\. Freshly downloaded Pilot2ATC v2.6 and brought it up. When I push the Start Trial button, however, P2A comes back with: "Error: The Trial Period has ended. Please purchase a license and enter the license key in the boxes below." What have I forgotten to remove? Edited October 4, 20205 yr by Han Schouten pressed save before being ready.
