October 4, 20205 yr Not posting this as anything but some details. Currently running what’s in my signature - I had been running 2 1080p monitors in GeForce surround (3860x1080). Was flying mostly around Florida in the G58, on essentially an ultra wide 1080p on all Ultra settings. Would get frames of 55-75. Set up the 4K monitor today and on ultra the frames dropped to around 10-15. I dropped it back to High End, and I’m between 45-60. if ever available at MSRP, I do intend to get a 3080 or 3090. Call me crazy, but I’m very pleased with the performance of my 2080 Super at 4k. i7-10700k (OC at 5.05MHz) | EVGA 3090 FTW3 (24GB) | G.Skill RipJaws V Series 32GB RAM (Effective 3200MHz) | 1TB SSD M2 (Samsung EVO) | Corsair 850W Gold P/S | MSI MAG CoreLiquid 240R | MSI MPG Z490 Gaming Edge WiFi | Logitech Yoke and Throttle Quad | Logitech Saitek Rudders | Logitech Switch Panel | Thrustmaster T.Flight 4 HOTAS | HyperX Cloud Flight S Headset | 43” LG 43UN700B 4k monitor | HP Reverb G2 (VR) Selling EVGA 2080 Super Ultra XC (8GB) - used for 3.5 months - PM me for info if interested! How much difference do you see between 1080 and Ultra, vs say 1440 and high? I honestly have not looked. Currently at 1440 with some medium and some high settings.
