A320 Lighting Procedures

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

New here! I just got fs2020 the other day and I’m absolutely blown away! I even bought a pc just for the sim and have really been enjoying the scenery. I have a question regarding lighting procedures for the a320. I know landing lights should be on under 10,000 and of course taxi lights on while taxiing and beacon lights on just before starting the engines.

Can anyone guide me on full lighting procedures as I want to be as realistic as possible.

thanks in advance!

Beech Baron: Uh, Tower, verify you want me to taxi in front of the 747?
ATC: Yeah, it's OK. He's not hungry.

Strobe/s go on when receiving ATC clearance to enter or cross an active runway, when reaching the runway entry markers. Once on the runway for departure, they stay on until landing and you exit the active runway. If while on taxi to the bay, you cross another active runway, they again go on while crossing.

Beacon goes on prior to pushback or engine start, whichever comes first. It goes off on engine shutdown once stopped in the bay.
