I am upgrading my PC to be able to play MSFS at 4K. I will be using a 48-50" TV that has 2.1 HDMI.

This is what I have now. I do not plan to overclock the new system.

I plan to get a 5800X or 5900X as the CPU

I plan to get either a Asus 3080 TUF 20Gb  or AMD 6900xt whenever I will be able to get one by the end of the year.

Do I need to change the motherboard to a X570 or am I fine with the current Asus ROG  Strix x 470-f Gaming?

Do I need to change my 32Gb RAM or am I fine with that?

Do I need to change my Be quiet! 250W TDP Dark Rock Pro 4 CPU Cooler or will that work well with the new Ryzen 3?

Any other thoughts as I really like the case and with all the extra cooling from the Noctua fans keeps the current setup very cool.

The X570 will likely work better with Zen 3 but it should be possible to have Zen 3 work with the X470 via a one way bios update. The timings and exact details of the bios updates aren't fully known at this point. It sounds like the update would remove support for previous Ryzen desktop versions to make necessary room in the ROM for Zen 3 support. 

32GB RAM is fine.

The CPU cooler should be ok for Zen 3. Remains to be seen how hot those chips run and if you plan to overclock it then maybe an AIO might become a requirement but for standard use I'd say that cooler should work fine.

I updated my bios and from what I read it should work with Zen 3.

Since I am just using 4K I am just trying to figure out what CPU will not bottleneck with the Asus TUF 3080 that I am thinking of getting.

I do not think the AMD 6900xt will beat it in 4K but we will see soon.

I can always upgrade to a newer board if needed but thought my X470 should work fine for what I would be using it for.

I am just trying to get my budget together for the items I still will need in the next two months or so.

I'm not sure that Asus have confirmed support for Zen 3 on their X470 ROG Strix range. I know MSI released a BIOS update recently for their X470 range to incorporate Zen 3 support but doesn't appear that Asus have yet (or even confirmed that they will). The last ASUS BIOS update for your mobo was in August and just addressed system stability. You might need to check in on some Asus forums to see if you can get more info. If they don't do a BIOS update maybe consider something like the X570 Tomahawk which delivers great performance at a decent price.

We'll get more details on Zen 3 series today. When it came to general gaming with Zen 2 there was virtually no difference between the 3700X and the 3900X but I'm not sure for flight sims. Hopefully we can get some Zen 3 benchmarks for MSFS to see if there's any real difference between the 5800X and 5900X.

Yes you are correct. The bios was for Zen 2. If at 4K Zen 3 does not show much improvement I will just find a 3700X or 3900X to use instead.

After looking at all the X570 boards I ordered a MSI Meg X570 Unify. 

Which CPU do you think will work best at 4K to be used with the Asus TUF 3080 20Gb when it comes out?

This GPU is the one that should fit my Fractal Design Meshify C  Case the best.

The X570 Unify is a good board. I use that one myself. 

Based on the pretty limited info we've seen so far the 5900X looks like it'll be a good one to use. According to AMD it outperforms the 10900K but we'll need to see some independent test results. I'd like to see some game performance comparisons between the 5800X and 5900X too before I pull the trigger. But right now I'm leaning towards the 5900X as it looks like it'll deliver great performance.

Yes I thought that the 5900X probably is the one to get.

Hopefully I can sell my Asus ROG  Strix x 470-f , Ryzen 2700X and Seasonic SSR650PD power supply when I get the CPU to recoup some costs:-)
