October 11, 20205 yr Obviously, this new Robert Young (RealAir fame) G36 Bonanza Turbo is already the number one GA plane in our new sim. This total redo also works with the ongoing G1000 mods, and soon with the Lighting Mods. Additional repaints are being finalized as we speak and that leaves the question - where are the Animation Mods? What? Where? Well, sorry I am just asking the question. Surely there is a Github Mod group putting the final touches on a G36 Bonanza Animation package. If Carenado can open and close the cabin and baggage doors, move the sun visors, and open and close the little pilot window (and change the sound to match open and closed) surely we can at least match that. I would venture a guess there are additional animations to be had. Maybe open and close the map compartment door, add a popup ipad or clipboard with some preflight settings or ramp items like chocks, tiedowns, remove before flight pitot covers, control locks, etc. Anyone know anything about adding animations to MSFS, other than Carenado? Regards, Ray Hi Ray, I'm researching this right now. The big issue with the Bonanza is the prop animation. It starts too quick and stops instantly. You can extend the initial slow down but the last second or two should have the prop slowing realistically against the engine compression - but it just stops. My mod makes it even worse but I'm addressing that in V2. The C172 A1000 has much better prop animations. As for doors etc, I don't think it will be possible because the default 3d model is as far as I know not editable or tweakable but I might be wrong. Carenado can make that happen because they made a fresh 3d model. Maybe Bill will have better info about this. October 11, 20205 yr It is possible to import a 3d model into blender, edit it, and then export it back to the game. The A320 team is doing this now. It is also quite easy to change the animation. The Bonanza is using "ASOBO_ENGINE_Propeller_Template" which means its getting values for animation from Exterior.xml in "Packages\Official\Steam\fs-base-aircraft-common\ModelBehaviorDefs\Asobo"
