October 12, 20205 yr We have now hundreds of (free) addons and almost each of them is updated on a regular basis. This is really hard for us to keep track and to go check every addon webpage to see if it has been updated or not. Currently I am using a system where I create folders and subfolders in my web browser but this is not sustainable with the growing number of addons. Also if this data is deleted from my web browser I will likely lose all these shortcuts. The idea would be to use AVSIM as a solid base for that. We can imagine a subforum like the"VR" or"tips and tricks" subforum" but for addons development, freeware and payware. This subforum could have subcategories for aircrafts, airports, landmarks etc.. then threads for each addon with a direct link at the begening, the last update date, and we could also sort these threads by update date That's it 🙂 Edited October 12, 20205 yr by Noooch
October 12, 20205 yr Yes. I have found lots of little free useful add-ons and tweaks that could do with being listed, from the one that stops the icon handle bar flashing up every time you use the mouse, to one that can toggle the instruments on and off in the outside view. I even found a nice red head torch the other day that replaces the white one. It could all do with linking in one list. 👍 Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.
