Weird Airport Disappearance

Featured Replies

I was doing a trip from HQM to UIL in WA State. However, upon arriving at UIL I was a bit dismayed to find there was no airport there. This despite being able to enter it in flight planning and seeing the correct information. Nearby Forks wasn't there either. I decided to try and kick off the sim then by having it start at UIL. I expected to see my plane spawn on some weird terrain but it actually showed the airport correctly. I probably should have taken a flight to see if the airport would then have just disappeared but I didn't get the chance. Is there a mechanism to report these kinds of things or is this just "what it is" and may or may not get corrected based on general Bing map updates?

Is it possible that your internet connection did not stream the detailed data in time?

If you can start there... you've got it... and should now be in your cache..

Try repeating the flight!

It hasn't had problems anywhere else, but I'll try again. That said and spawning there doesn't put the airport at altitude in the cache (at least I wouldn't think so). It would be at a different level of altitude. I'll probably try to take off from that airport and then see if it's still there for a touch and go. If not, that's some weird Twilight Zone stuff!
