Moving or copying the MSFS community folder

Featured Replies

re : not being able to move or copy from community folder to backup folder.

1. Make a new folder inside the community folder and call it community backup

2. Start at the top of your list in the community folder and right click and drag it into the Community  backup folder and select move.  The first time this is done you have to drag it to the yellow folder as it will not open until you have the first file in there

When you have the first file over top of the community backup folder it will be highlighted so just move it then.

3. Now the community folder will open and you will see the community backup folder as well as the file you just put there.

4. Now open the community folder a second time and open on your second monitor, now you can right click on a file in the backup folder and move back to the original community folder.

5. Move only one aircraft and and scenery item then close the community folder, open MSFS and check in the content manager to see if it is there. Mine is but it shows it as not installed as Asobo needs to fix the flaw that causes this. The aircraft and scenery item will show up

in MSFS and work.

6. Now move the rest of your files and check frequently to see if they are moved back into content manager and MSFS

7. You must move them, not copy and when moving,  the letter m on your keyboard is shortcut to move rather then using and moving your mouse all over the place.

8. This works well for me so hopefully it will work for you.
