October 16, 20205 yr My Alpha just arrived and I have a question for those that already have one. How many times can you mount and unmount the plate using the suction cup? I really like not using the clamps as I can then keep my keyboard in the slide out drawer of my desk. But as I use my desk for way more than flight sims I am going to have to remove it when not flying. Is it going to get to the point I will have to go to the clamps? October 26, 20205 yr yes probably will need clamps, though I have stuck mine to a glass plate that sits beneath my monitor to hold it down. Even so, the force I initially needed to pull the yoke unstuck it from glass! One solution for that is to replace the curly ethernet cable with a normal one - you'd be surprised how much force it takes to pull it straight!
October 26, 20205 yr @ghun1 Probably to late for you to edit it out, but hopefully a Mod will - your last sentence obviously applies to the other live Honeycomb thread where you posted, rather than this one.😉 I was confused till I read that thread again. 6 hours ago, ghun1 said: One solution for that is to replace the curly ethernet cable with a normal one - you'd be surprised how much force it takes to pull it straight!
