October 18, 20205 yr Kyushu - Continued Our tour of Kyushu continues on from where we left off at Chisun-Inn-Omura (RFJU). We fly over Nagasaki, past Mt Unzen and Shimabara to Kumamoto. Departing Kumamoto to the northeast we fly over the large caldera of Aso-Kuju National Park to waypoint KAZMA where the route turns to the southeast for a long 68 mile leg over mountainous terrain to Miyazaki on the pacific coast. Backtracking to the north we land at Oitakenou Airport before heading off to see the next two points of interest: the Kokonoe Yume Otsurihashi Bridge, and then the Chikugo River Lift Bridge. The next landing is at Fukuoka then the final leg northeast up to Shimonoseki, the Kanmon Straits, the Kanmon Bridge (POI), and our final destination Ozuki Air Field (FJOZ). FlightPlan (& Pilots Guide) Here The route is 332 miles in length with five landings. Once again I will fly the TBM930 (FedEx) which is capable of 250+knts cruise. Recommend Departure time of 2:45PM local so that we can experience the sunset as we finish (5:45pm).
