RXP GNS in Friendly Panels Configurations

Featured Replies

So, I installed GNS 530 in the Friendly Panels Aspen Avionics Baron 58. A Very Nice Avionics suit for what is essentially a default aircraft. Following a 4 waypoint flightplan from KSEG to KABE over eastern Pennsylvania. Works well. I also installed GNS 430 in the Moony Bravo Meggitt avionics suit. Have yet to test fly it but the install went well. I have twin 530s in my Carenado B200 King Air. I will test it when I have time for a longer flight.

Thank you for sharing your progress, you're on a good track! You might want to share screenshots too!!

I will do a screenievonce I figure out how to. I also want to attempt GTN in the FP Baron. I may have to hash mark the audio panel entry and swap the King Navcom 2 and AP units to get it right. I know I don't need an audio panel with the GTN.

I still haven't gotten the sizing tall enough on the FP B58 Baron. I start with the panel configured with their GNS 530 gauge. The GTN always ends up truncated even if I hashmark the AP line and overwrite the audio panel entry with the AP identity. I haven't tried using the Panel Assistant size adjustment yet. Not a lot of spare time. So far the RXP 530 GNS is easiest. It's a direct drop in and no 3D texturing to mess up appearance.
